Dealing with reality no longer only takes place in physical space. We encounter its expansion into digital, webbed dimensions in everyday life. In theatre, too, possibilities emerge with digital technologies such as Augmented & Virtual Reality to create expanded and immersive realities in which hybrid co-presence is explored and stories are told through interactive dramaturgy.
In this full-day workshop for professional theatre and dance practitioners, Sarah Buser will present exemplary works and offer practical insights into dramaturgical concepts, technical possibilities (AR, VR, Unity game engine), and artistic strategies for working with XR technologies.
Sarah Buser is a director, dramaturg, programmer, and lecturer. In her work on participatory, theatrical game situations, she combines narration, code and fiction to make theoretical concepts and social phenomena experienceable in an interactive way. More info on Sarah Buser here.
